The US Air Force C-119G Flying Boxcar wood model is made of the finest kiln of dried mahogany and carefully hand crafted by our master craftsmen. From the most complicated details up to the simplest ones, the Air Force C-119G Flying Boxcar hand made model is hand painted. Some parts of it are made of hand molded resin. History:

The Fairchild C119 Flying Boxcar, a U.S military transport aircraft, was designed for the air-drop of paratroops and large cargo, saw wartime service in Korea and Vietnam. The Boxcar was derived from the C-82 "Packet" transport - looking ever more like the identical to the final C-119 production models. The C-119 made its maiden flight in November 1947 and retired in 1974. From 1955 – 1973, the US Air Force Strategic Air Command had C-119 Flying Boxcars in service. The C-119G Flying Boxcar was delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force in December 1954. The G version of the Boxcar had a replaced propeller systems, and improved equipment. A total of 480 C119G examples were produced.
